Snow Days Chicago

Snow Days Chicago is a free three-day winter festival on Michigan Avenue in Grant Park featuring a national snow sculpting competition, dog sled demonstrations, a snowboard rail jam and kids activities! Bring the whole family and watch as the city is transformed into a winter wonderland, showcasing over 27 beautiful and unique sculptures made entirely out of snow!

It was worth when we made the trip to check the snow sculptures this afternoon. It was fun to see some detailed sculptures. I took many pictures and I choose most of them to post.

{Happy Sale!}

No reason but happy sale! Not only because to kill 99.9%
germs. They smells great!! I love to have some big stock
in my house! Anti~bacterial hand gel PockBac was on sale
to buy 5 for 5 bucks at Bath & Body Works store. I got an
email about it and it stuck on my mind this week.
Sale expired a few days ago.

{Fun Friday Foto~ Challenge #3 Self~Portrait}

Now I'm feeling better that I'm not only one struggled
to do self~portrait. I need buy a camera remote for sure.
I have to admit that I had Mo to check in the camera and set
the timer for me. It was fun to try out to do this challenge.

Bundle up and stay warm where it is very dangerous cold
with the wind chill. No fun at all.. many of us are ready for the
Spring. For me, I want to be outside and play with camera too.

When I woke this morning without need to go out for
Morning duty at my work. I asked Mo, "is it the sun
outside??"I can't remember when last time we had
sunshine day. I was glad that I grabbed and took the
picture. The sunshine didn't last very long.

I am very ready for the Spring!

It was cool to find the bird's footprints on fresh snow earlier
today. I played with the photo program. Soon loose it with
30 days trial. Will see where we go from there or try
different photo program to try out.

{Monday night dinner}

We had hamburger casserole tonight for dinner. I believe
that is name of recipe I got from my friend. I used the turkey
meat instead. It tasted great with sour cream and shredded
cheese on top plus spicy bread and cup of milk!

By the way, I already made another dinner for tomorrow night 8-}

So far what we will have for dinner this week. Guess
sometime it help to make list with what to have for
dinners to make better plans. Today we went for food
shopping, we popped ideas for the week to make things
easier for us.

{Get up & M O V E!}

{23/365} Used the flasher with no light on.

I began to going to the gym last summer. I enjoyed lot to go for gym.
Something to look forward to start my day. With things I can't
live without, along with some snacks for in between the workouts.

I went for bike and tone plus 2 miles walking this morning!
Great feeling afterward!!

{Sleeves}

We were gone most of the day to finish the errands.
End of the evening, Thought of have some hot chocolate.
I thought why not take this picture. Then I was not happy
with the results, but knew something can help with photo
program. So there fun! I did some editing and used the
illumination effect, Lights. Cool!!

I have drove Mo nut with to have too many sleeves from my
drinks. Some of sleeves can be found in his or my cars too.

{AT&T U~verse}

It has been a long day today, I was glad to be gone most
of day. Or I go crazy without internet here. AT&T U~ verse
was installed in today but not full complete. Until near in the
future with next appointment should be all set with correct
order number. It has been long almost 2 months with to get
everything all set to have it. With big if something go wrong
with final install in, goodbye.

P.S. I had to "paint" the box's information. And I began to like
to use the border around the picture.

After a few problems then installed, wrong order numbers.
Now that we found out there are no service in our area.

{Fun Foto Friday Chanllege #1}

Honestly I couldn't remember what was my childhood character
when I was young. And I had to ask my dad, first thing he mentioned
Tom and Jerry cartoon shows. So there... I remember with lot of actions
and laughs I went through the cartoon shows with no closed captioned
at that time. Before my first communion, my parents adopted Siamese kitten,
I named him Tom~Tom from the cartoon shows. Tom~Tom lived for
18 years, near eleven years ago. I missed him a lot.

I had to print the Tom and Jerry cartoon show from computer and
I dug in pictures, I had certain picture want to use, no luck.
That was my senior picture where I could take Tom~Tom as my
prop that time.

P.S. Then I remember I had some smurf(s) and mushroom home.
Hopefully they are still in storage somewhere.

{The sleepy cat}

{14/365} Used the flasher with camera.

I took picture of Sheba when she was sleeping hard.
Usually she would hear me too close to her. Used the
Flasher to bounce off the ceiling. I edited the picture
a little bit and photo effect, black & white film.

Definitely we are ready for Friday and weekend!! I can't
wait to play with picture for Foto Friday Challenge for
tomorrow.

{Defrosting}

{13/365} I used the zoom lens.
I played with picture frame, used the edge brush.

I was in the kitchen earlier today and could see a lot
of dripping from window. First thing I thought why
not catch some drops. In this pictures was not expected
that many drops at once. I did a bit editing. Weather
had some warm up today, not whole lot yet.

Bring on, the Spring.

{12/365} Diesel cookie cutter dies, complete alphabet set.

I won the Quickutz Diesel the font, from the
sponsor giveaway by surprise. I punch out the
letters and used pop-up adhesive right on black
cardstock paper. Used the texture, brick wall.

{Perfect kind of soup for winter time}

There was a few things I wish to take picture for today
to post. Another day with freezing weather! But kept miss!
Like this beautiful red bird. I felt guilt-free to make it to the
gym today.We had errands to finish today. When we looked for
the book one Sandra suggested, we was like wait a minute we
must already have it. After all have that book here. Mo my
husband will make sure I read and read, then talk more,
I be able to understand. I admit I am not great with the reading.

With perfect kind of soup for winter time, like today.

We bought this book, hopefully we will have better
understanding with how use the shutter speed with our
Nikon D80 camera. Often with my frustrate and/or not
satisfy with how the pictures turn out. I felt there are more
than what I have take. Also related with lighting I will
want to work on. I don't have a Studio at my end.

No school, no work today..... (which is rare for my school to have a snow day)
I never make it out of door today. The temperature started to drop to be freeze. I
was still in fresh jammies to be comfortable long day. Rocky is in the background.

P.S.The picture was bad and thank to the photo
program I was using that was able to fix it.

No after school care and lazy day for me today.
Then I realized I needed a picture for today. So I
thought of outside with all of that snow today.
Too late, about to be windy, drifting and blowing.
Forget it but managed with opened the window
and captured this picture.

The old black cat, Sheba who love to have full of attention
from us. When we brush her and she would stand up and
rub up all over on my basket. Which mean we know she is

One of the squirrels came and visited on our
deck. Mo taught Rocky, the cat to know when
his friends are on the deck. Mo would call
"Rocky, your friend is here!" He would hear
and run fast he can to meet at door. Fun watch
how Rocky reaction to watch the squirrels.

P.S. I realized that the picture are "off" think
because of shutter speed was not set right.

First of all I don't have the photo shop program and I have been using the paint.NET to edit the pictures. I don't know if I'm doing any correct or wrong ways with using the paint.net. One day we will have the photo shop program. Plus I really want to have the watermark to protect my pictures.
