{Nate and Ian}
Big plans ahead for Nate and Ian. Nate was home for weekend in Maryland. Not long ago Nate was on the ship for long weeks with Coast Guard training. Ian had a long weeks waiting for all kind of approves to have an okay to leave for China.
I copied my sister's words below.
Ian leaves on Friday, 10/3 in the morning to fly to China via LAX. He will spend a year there teaching English to Chinese children in an evening school. He is quite looking forward to the trip and this past week has been a whirlwind of festivities as he is madly dashing about seeing everyone before he leaves. He finally acquired his visa on Friday, thankfully.
Nate returns to Miami on Monday and will be going on a different cutter with a different crew, in order to take his boards to show mastery of his requirements, and stand watch. He will end up in Baltimore again -at the nearby Glen Burnie Coast Guard base, where he will stand guard and do duties with them, for some of the time that the cutter is there undergoing repairs.
Best luck to both boys' dreams to complete the goals!
Ian, have a safe flight to China!
Boys, Keep in contact with us here!
XOXO,
Uncle Mo, Aunt Jennifer and Grandpa
{Breakfast with Jana}
Jana and Uncle Tim was here this morning. They all went for church in Indiana. Jana also met this man who make trip to church from South Bend, Indiana. Nick was born here but his parents was from Slovakia. He can speak Slovakia language from his parents. Both Nick and Jana were happy to meet today.
We all had breakfast here. Good breakfast with Chile Cheese Egg Bake with some fresh fruits. My dad gave Jana garden tour. They were checking out the herbs. Jana's family grows the veggie garden like we do too. (Jana's Father)
Mo and I showed Jana how to sign a few words (yes, no, more, please, thank you, restroom) We even told Jana that Uncle Tim don't know how to sign but wave to say hello. Sign language would be her third language to learn.
Recently I was looking for Dad's pictures from his trip to Jana's country from 8 years ago. Interesting!!
{Jana with our family}

I had to ask dad where family are related to with my third cousin Jana. That is my grandfather (my dad's dad) his brother~ my dad's uncle is Jana's grandfather.
We had good time to meet our cousin Jana at my aunt's house yesterday. Jana kept book with her and often check with Uncle Tim what we all may have said. Uncle Tim also often make sure Jana understand what things we may have said to understand. My uncle Tim can speak Slovakia language if need to use it to explain words.

{Jana}
My third cousin and her name is Jana. She is here for the first time in USA to visit. We will meet her for the first time tomorrow. My dad met her about 8 years ago when he went on trip with my uncle Tim.
Jana is from Slovakia. My uncle Tim visited there I don't how many time in past years. Supposed my uncle is also working on family tree and all. I think my grandparents (my dad side) family are from Slovakia.
Looking forward to meet Jana!
Hopfully I have great pictures to post after the weekend with Jana
Have a great weekend!

{Layouts}
Some more layouts to check out.

I completed this layout with Two Spotted Dogs, Sept Man in the moon kit and used Sketch #18 from Triple the Sketch
Journaling~
She always enjoyed getting together with family. Grandmother Helen ~1960's~

Picture of my niece Emily. I can't remember which kit I used from Two Spotted Dogs kits.
Journaling:
I love when Emily smiles just for me.

Again I can't figure which kit I used from Two Spotted Dogs.
Journaling~
We love seeing the cats getting comfortable near each other. Normally Sheba won't relax if Rocky is nearby, but at this moment she must have realized that Rocky was relaxing too, rather than waiting to pick on her.

Last winter I was out south in Springfield, IL for weekend with Donna's worhshop and crop time.
I had fun meeting new people like Leah and others. I made this layout and left no journaling or title. Finally got it all completed! I ran out letter "e" so I stamped letter e as finished it.
Journaling~
Rocky loves to get a taste of my vanilla bean frappuccino blended creme. He thinks he is so sneaky.

I used paper and title from Two Spotted Dogs, July Backyard Fun kit.
And painted chipboard tree with crackle paint and birds too.
Journaling~
We discovered that there is a restored covered bridge in Crown Point in Indiana.
We went there a few times and had fun taking snapshots of ourselves.

I used stuffs from Two Spotted April kit. Kitchen Garden kit
I tried it with write the journaling around the page and it was not easy for me.
Journaling~
At the side of the driveway the logs needed to be restacked to hold in the garden. Mo decided to clear out the mulch and move the logs himself. A beehive was hidden underneath all the mulch, and he hit it!. He didn't move fast enough and got a few stings, but he's OK now. It was interesting to see the bees' home up close. We could see that there were more bees in there just waiting for their time to come out.
Thank you for looking!

{Layouts with the Sketches}
Over the weekend I got into and completed more layouts with Two Spotted Dogs by using vary sketches from Triple the Sketch blog. I used all of sketches from Triple the Sketch blog. The Triple the Sketch blog is one of my favorite place to check out. Big help with flow the creative and able to finish the pages as flow to finish title and journaling on own. Thank you Triple the Sketch!

I used the Sketch #25 with Sept Man in the moon kit.

I used the Sketch #15 with Ali's paper from her book mixed with other what I have used.
I found chipboard paper clip at my local scrapbook store recently.

I used the Sketch #24 with Rusty Pickles' background paper, wording sticker and large letter C painted with acrylic paint Dabber gold (from Ranger). I added the poinsettia flowers too.
I have one other layout I did and it need the journaling. Will post soon as I can. Plus other layouts I did some weeks ago, to catch up with journalings too.

{Sheba vs Rocky}
Maybe it is only that Rocky likes to be pesty to Sheba, but Rocky has to
be nosy to see what Sheba was doing. She had simply found a place to lay
in a box. Rocky doesn't like the idea of us taking pictures of her.
Rocky has to come by and check her out. Of course he was acting nice at
first but turned mischievous after a few licks on her forehead. Sheba
usually backs up or runs away but she stayed and fought with Rocky. And
they gave each other a good slap!
(all of this happen too fast and Mo couldn't change the setting in the camera!)

{Vacaction week}
We were on vacation on the week before I went back to work. And we had a great week to spend time together. I want to catch up to post some pictures from our vacation week.
Sunday~ LegoLand in Schaumburg, IL

it was awesome place to go! Make your plans to take kids there. We went there with my sister in law and Emily. Emily had lot of fun inside this place. I do want to post more pictures from inside but I don't want to spoil the fun what you will see inside. Legoland
Monday~ Historic Bridge Park and Kimball Pines County Park

Historic Bridge Park, located a bit southeast of Battle Creek in Calhoun County, Michigan, is a unique park whose focus is on the historic truss bridges that has been moved to and restored within the Park. The park allows truss bridges that have become insufficient for their original location to be preserved for their historic and aesthetic value. (copied info from book)
it was very beautiful there and we took too many pictures! At same time it was very hot day..

Kimball Pines County Park is 100 acres of most plantation pines. It contains one of oldest stands of urban pines in Michigan. It was beautiful when we were there.
Tuesday~ Binder Park Zoo in Michigan

We had great time to feeding the giraffes. The giraffes' tongues stick out, want food in their mouths!

Snowed leopard baby is adorable! We could stay and watch for hours.
(only over 60 days old at this time) Yes they had a playdate with a puppy to play.
(hard time to take good pictures. We had limited distance to stand and watch him.)
We had a great day at the zoo to check out other animals too.
Perfect weather for the day too.
Wednesday~ Millennium Park

The breezy weather was perfect.
It was nice to enjoy a night out together.
Thursday~ Stayed home

We stayed home and I completed this project.
Memo board added in with antique frame.
Friday~ Horseback riding

Nice weather with an hr riding.
It was tough trying to take good pictures.
Great time!
Thank for looking!
